The thing
with electronic gadgets is that it is a display of your taste, you look as well
as your personality - from the decal you choose to put your Mac or iPad Mini,
the favorite geeky T-shirt you wear to college or work, or even your choice of
tablets. But now you can easily take advantage of this up a notch by putting on
our favorite wearable gadgets which don’t only look great but also works good
as well.
We have made
a series of functional and trendy items which have the appearance of everyday
apparel camouflaging easy but powerful gadgetry. Some of them are already in
the open marketplace, while some are still in the concept levels, awaiting to
make its debut to excited followers.
1.
Interactive T-Shirts
Geeky T-shirts
are not new, but put in some electronics, a few AA batteries, turn down the
lights and you can actually have a good equalizer dancing on your chest,
responding to the sounds around you.
Another type
of interactive shirt is only one which makes sound - the electronic drum kit
shirt has 7 spots which generate sounds whenever you press down on them.
T-shirts like these are inexpensive to come by as they don't need hi-tech
wizardry, just an electronic board that you have to remove just before
handwashing these kinds of T-shirts.
2. Nike
Hyperdunk+
Athletes
always want to boost themselves, and with this pair of Nike Hyperdunk+,
basketball players can monitor their speed, jump height and their overall game
performance. There are sensors in the shoe which transmit info to your smart
phone via Bluetooth.
You may also
record videos of the play, after that enjoy the videos with the matching
display on display screen. The videos as well as your stats can be shared on
social networking, or can be used to monitor your improvement.
3. Pebble
Watch For Smartphones
Not a fan of
smart glasses? Then, choose a smart watch instead. The Pebble is a watch which
is paired with your iPhone or even Android phone via Bluetooth. You can then
get push notifications just like Facebook messages and also alerts for calls,
messages and email. The magic behind the Pebble is that it is extremely
customizable and is best for easy use on the outside.
The E-paper
technology makes sure that you do not have to fuss with the brightness of the
screen, and while you walk with it, you are able to toggle your music, track
your distance and running time, and still achieve notifications. To make use of
it, you have to download the Pebble application into your smart phone, but if
you are feeling adventurous, there is an SDK for this watch.
4. Rusty’s
Wired Series
Say goodbye
to tangled earphones which occupy space in your pocket. Rusty has come up with
a hoody with earphones which double as the elastic strings of the hood. To
connect your music device in, in one of the side pockets, where you can house
your music device, there is a jack to plug-in your music.
The
earphones are machine-washable (hence, water-resistant - an essential feature
for wearable gadgets) so you can by pass the terrible job of removing them and placing
them back in. The Rusty clothing line has a lot of options for women and men at
many different price ranges.
5. IWallet
Whether it
is because you don’t like having to change wallets once they are worn down, or
even if you do not like the feel of leather on your epidermis, iWallet is a
game-changer you’d want to take a look at. With a strong, hard casing,
biometric access, and bluetooth technology to act as a deterrent against
robbers, the iWallet is out to prove that it requires your security very
seriously.
If the
iWallet or your phone is too far apart from one another (more than 10-15 ft),
your phone will sound, warning you of a pickpocket’s foiled try or if you have
lost either of these essential personal effects. Price ranges are in the $459
to $599 and also the wallets are available in carbon fiber and aluminium shell.
